ClassGraphic As we age, part of living an independent life is the ability to accomplish our most basic physical need, getting up after falling without physical assistance. A fall can happen to any one of us at any time, and knowing how to rescue yourself is a critical skill. You want to maintain the ability to recover and get up from a fall as long as possible. Discover techniques and develop muscles that will help you get back on your feet. Through discussions and classroom exercises, you will regain the confidence that you can manage this potential life setback when there is no one to help. Learn ways to prevent falls and how to use simple household items such as furniture or books to help you safely stand up. Discover other 'fall recovery techniques' that creatively assist you in getting up … and back on your feet.
