ClassGraphic Buddhist prayer beads or 'malas' are a knotted tool used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra. The 108 beads are used often in combination with a charm and mother bead. The beads serve to remind practitioners that it is possible to break the cycle of birth and death. In this class, you will create your own personalized prayer mala to enhance your meditation practice by selecting the stone beads according to the purpose of the mantra.
